| Conditions were roasting hot as usual for the Freckleton race but there was plenty of water out on the course. | ||||||
| The organisation was second to none and there were some good performances despite the conditions. | ||||||
| Unfortunately though it seems that many NVAC members ran but did not enter the Championships. It was | ||||||
| clearly marked on the application form with a box to tick for NVAC. | ||||||
| The Northern veterans AC extends its sincere thanks to the race organiser Brian Porter and the Freckleton | ||||||
| Club Day Committee for taking on the organisation of this championship. This is the first NVAC Half | ||||||
| Marathon championships since the demise of the East Cheshire race some years ago and it is hoped that this | ||||||
| arrangement can continue. | ||||||
